sadly dissapointed August 19, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Where to start??
I was a huge fan of this series from the beginning. It was my first books read on my own time. I read every book like if i was addicted, then this one came out. I dreaded opening this book sometimes. I tried to like it but couldnt get to it. Some parts were enjoyable but over all not what I beleive most fans wanted.
I felt that Meyer tried to please everyone which was a bad idea. She eliminated what made this series so great, the love triangle, life or imortality. There was no choice in this book. It was either Bella was going to die or become a vampire. I dont get why this is how it had to end. On top of that, she made Jocob imprint on Bella's daughter so Jacob can have a happy ending. Everything was thought out too perfectly so none of the characters feelings were hurt. I have no problem with happy endings but when it took away what made the series so compelling, whats the point?
I also hated the whole Volturri confrontation. Nothing happened. She obviously didnt wanna kill off any characters! She could have spared some. Make the readers feel some grieve!
This book went in a completely different direction from where invisioned it. You might as well read this book to complete the series. I wish Meyer had another chance to rewrite this book.

Definately the most exciting sequel to the series! August 19, 2008 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
*MILD SPOILERS* I'm a a huge fan of the Twilight saga, and I was very anxious to read the finale. Stephenie Meyer said herself that this is the best way to end the series, and I couldn't agree more! Everything is on it's place, and very natural. I was extremely mad to read all the negative reviews, because people said that Bella didn't have to sacrifice ANYTHING to get her own way, and I couldn't disagree more on that matter. If her own life isn't a sacrifice enough, than what is? Anyway, this is my favourite book in the series, I rate it 5 stars!
This is not the same writer. August 19, 2008 5 out of 7 found this review helpful
SMeyer has taken the story she created, and turned it on its head. She has stated that she put her foot down on this one, and she ended the saga the way she knew it was going to be from the beginning. That's fine, but when you take something that is three books in, why change the winning combination in what is supposed to be the final book? If she gave up some control in the first three books and she stuck to her guns on this one, I say we find out who helped her in the first three and beg them to rewrite this one.
What is wrong with a happy ending August 19, 2008 2 out of 7 found this review helpful
I finally finished reading Breaking Dawn and while I was both surprised and nervous in the beginning with the direction it was taking I truly enjoyed the book. I do not understand why so many people are angry that everything worked out at the end. Would you have liked for everyone to have died would that have been the wonderful ending you were looking for? I think I would have been more angry with that type of ending than the one that we were given. Yes the baby storyline was very risky but I think it worked itself out in the end. I was always team Edward but I am even happy that Jake had a happy ending too. What everyone has to keep in mind is that this was a love story above all not an epic bloody battle. I think this was a pleasant end to a wonderful series and hopefully Mrs. Meyer will choose to continue it in the near future.
The best one in the series August 19, 2008 2 out of 7 found this review helpful
I read a review before buying this book that had the spoiler in it and mine will also. Let me say this-this is a FICTION book, that means that it's not real. SOme of the reviews seem to have forgotten that and are taking the books as if vampires and werewolfs really exsist. Now I don't mean to say they don't but seriously rate the book on it's story not on it's relation to reality! Having said that I enjoyed this one the most because finally we are done with the love triangle and are now just emersed in a really good story. We can finally enjoy all the characters and wonder were they're ride will take them. SInce I'm one of those that never wants a story to end..I'm kind of hoping there will be one more. This I think will remain my favorite and if your a fan of the other three than you'll love it.
