Bobo's book is the bible of close up coin magic. I'm doing magic for more than 50 years and I, like every good magician, keep getting back to Bobo.
To have it on DVD will save you years of deciphering: there are things that just need to be seen to be properly understood (it's impossible to describe each and every minutest detail of a hand position without the reader falling asleep or getting discouraged).
If you want to learn the tricks of the trade and be ready for other later publications like Richard Kaufman Coin Magic or David Roth Expert coin magic, do not hesitate one second, buy these DVDs. You will see what every move can look like, and how every routine (this is how we call effects gathering several sleights) is perceived. What's more by combining sleights taught in these DVDs, you'll be able after wile to create your own routines.
Whether you look at this for your child or for yourself, you are looking at a life time investment: it's extremely cheap for its value.
Look at all the comments on the book: you have just found the shortcut to learning.
I bought it the day it came out: I only regret I could not benefit from it 50 years ago.
The quality of performance and handling is definitely fine. The filming makes it clear. Very highly recommanded.

This DVD takes the learner from basic coin tricks to advanced. The quality of the video is excellent. The presenter does a very nice job of explaining how the tricks work and shows them from several directions (sometimes split camera) full speed and then more slowly. The tricks DO take practice, but the practice is fun -- almost addicting. Well worth the price.
